Media Culpability In Ferguson

Some of the most outrageous and irresponsible behavior in Ferguson has come, not from the looters, not from the racist charlatans Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, not from the black version of the KKK – the New Black Panthers, not from the black residents who proceeded to destroy their own community and not from the out-of-towners who came in to incite violence and more looting. And certainly not from the police. While all the aforementioned persons, aside from the police, are guilty of vandalism, arson, incitement, theft, assault and numerous other crimes, the most outrageous and irresponsible behavior I have seen taking place in Ferguson is coming from the media. While I am not aware of anyone in the media committing any crime in Ferguson, with their tactics, their irresponsible reporting and just with their presence they are the gasoline being thrown onto the fire. Yes, yes, they have the First Amendment right to freedom of the press. But with […] → Keep reading

Using Trayvon for Profit

To be clear from the start, I make no claims to know what happened that day. Did George Zimmerman murder Trayvon? I don’t know. Did Trayvon attack Zimmerman and get what he deserved? I don’t know. And, at this point, neither does anyone else.

But, that doesn’t stop some from seizing this event for their own selfish gain. And the ones attempting to profit from this are the same people screaming the loudest about “injustice”.

New Black Panther leader Mikhail Muhammad announced the reward during a protest last Saturday. When asked whether he was inciting violence, Muhammad replied defiantly: “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.”

Muhammad said the group’s national chairman, Dr. Malik Zulu Shabaz […] → Keep reading

Rep. John Lewis Distorts Truth About Voter ID Laws

Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) had an op-ed in the New York Times on Friday in which he condemns the move in a number of states to require photo identification be presented when voting, calling it an unconstitutional poll tax. Rep. Lewis tries to make his case by conveniently omitting some crucial facts and getting others completely wrong.

“Despite decades of progress, this year’s Republican-backed wave of voting restrictions has demonstrated that the fundamental right to vote is still subject to partisan manipulation. The most common new requirement, that citizens obtain and display unexpired government-issued photo identification before entering the voting booth, was advanced in 35 states and passed by Republican legislatures in Alabama, Minnesota, Missouri and nine other states despite the fact that as many as 25 percent of African-Americans lack acceptable identification.”

Let’s take the states he mentioned one at a time and see what the truth is.

Alabama – A bill passed this year would require […] → Keep reading
