If there was any doubt about Democrats bathing in the blood of babies, doubt no more. Liberals have always claimed that abortion should remain legal because pregnancy should be a woman’s choice or an option to protect the life of the mother. That manifesto has now been decimated.
Earlier this month, the U.S. House voted on HR4712 – The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.
Congress finds as follows:
(1) If an abortion results in the live birth of an infant, the infant is a legal person for all purposes under the laws of the United States, and entitled to all the protections of such laws.
(2) Any infant born alive after an abortion or within a hospital, clinic, or other facility has the same claim to the protection of the law that would arise for any newborn, or for any person who comes to a hospital, clinic, or other facilities for screening and treatment or otherwise becomes a patient within […] → Keep reading

With so much having already been written about Benghazi I have been hesitant to post about it, but I stumbled across something very interesting that could come into play when the Select Committee begins investigating not only what happened at Benghazi on September 11, 2012, but the cover up that followed and the continued attempts by the Obama administration to hide documents and information from Congress and the American people. A former elected official I follow on Twitter who appears to have contacts inside the Republican caucus in Congress has said the Jurney v. MacCracken Supreme Court decision in 1935 will be playing a role in the upcoming investigation. After reading about the case I can certainly see where this decision could have an impact on the proceedings. With former prosecutor Rep. Trey Gowdy running the committee I have every confidence he will use every possible leverage to get at the truth and this decision by the Court could […] → Keep reading

Steven Hayward, political science professor at the University of Colorado, has written a piece for Forbes in which he predicts that Obamacare will be repealed well in advance of the 2014 elections. Hayward says the talk about the website failure is a distraction from the real issue of people and businesses losing their health plans or having to pay a lot more for them. Who he is predicting to lead the charge on repeal is surprising.
Senate Democrats endangered for re-election will lead the charge for repeal perhaps as soon as January, after they get an earful over the Christmas break. They’ll call it “reform,” and clothe it in calls for delaying the individual mandate and allowing people and businesses to keep their existing health insurance policies. But it is probably too late to go back in many cases. With the political damage guaranteed to continue, the momentum toward repeal will be unstoppable. Democrats will not want to face […] → Keep reading

Wells Griffith, Republican candidate for Congress in Alabama’s 1st District special election, has produced a campaign ad that every Republican should emulate. In the ad, Griffith throws the Obamacare bill in the trash and says repealing the law is why he is running for Congress. “This document, Obamacare, is why I’m running for Congress. Because we won’t get back to creating jobs until these thousands of pages of economic destruction are relegated to the trash pile of history,” he says in the ad. There are a number of candidates in the Republican primary and with the district rated ‘safe Republican’ the winner will likely be the next Congressman.
Every Republican running for Congress should watch this ad and see how it’s done. With the vast majority of the country being opposed to Obamacare this is the time to use it against the Democrats who passed it and run them out of office. They passed it, they own it. Even the […] → Keep reading

Oklahoma Rep. Frank Lucas (R) has been in Congress far too long. After nineteen years representing the largest district in Oklahoma, it is time for him to go. His spending has become out of control and his voting record has become abysmally liberal. His score on the Heritage Action for America’s legislative scorecard is even worse than last year and few Republicans managed to score lower than Lucas.
As House Agriculture Committee Chairman, Lucas supported the failed farm bill and urged it be passed, despite the fact that the Congressional Budget Office projected it to cost $973 billion, which is more than a 50 percent increase from the 2008 bill. And how much of this $973 billion would go towards actual farmers? Less than twenty percent. Nearly eighty percent of the failed farm bill’s spending was to go toward the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which is the nice way of saying welfare and food stamps.
So why […] → Keep reading
