Why I Will Not Get the COVID-19 Vaccination

According to The Hill, nearly 1 in 3 people in the United States have said they definitely or probably will not get one of the COVID-19 vaccines, according to a survey.

Place me in that group as definitely will not.

There are multiple reasons people give for not taking the vaccine, but the main reason I decline doesn’t seem to be one of the more common reasons. People have cited the rushed release of the vaccines and the relatively unknown expectations for side effects as the most common reasons.

Just from reading the FAQ on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website, I would have serious doubts about these vaccines.

“If I am pregnant, can I get a COVID-19 vaccine?” – Answer: Yes, if you are pregnant, you might choose to be vaccinated. Based on how COVID-19 vaccines work, experts think they are unlikely to pose a specific risk for people who are pregnant.

Unlikely. They think.

Health Care Is Not a Right

Liberals are determined to make health care a right. It isn’t a right, but since when did truth stop liberals from squawking on and on about what they want. By calling health care a right, what they’re really saying is that the government should pay for it for everyone There’s a word for that – socialism. But that’s the Democratic Party today, socialists one and all.

Ask a liberal to find health care in the Bill of Rights. Pack a lunch because you’re going to be there a while. Most liberals probably have no clue what is in the Bill of Rights. The Declaration of Independence says that we have the inalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Having those […] → Keep reading

Trump Should Enforce Obamacare’s Individual Mandate

I was initially pleased when President Trump signed an executive order on day one of his administration, ordering executive agencies to soften enforcement of regulations and that no penalties, taxes, or fines be imposed by the IRS on anyone not in compliance with the individual mandate in Obamacare. His reasoning is that by the time April 15 arrives, the IRS would no longer have the authority to impose penalties, taxes, or fines because the individual mandate will no longer exist.

Andrew Napolitano says Trump’s executive order is “a truly revolutionary act, the likes of which I have never seen in the 45 years I have studied and monitored the government’s laws and its administration of them.”

He spelled out the reasoning very well, stating facts about Obamacare that have been known ever since 2010 when the Democrats rammed it through Congress without a single Republican supporting it.

“Trump argued that the government cannot compel commercial activity, even as part of […] → Keep reading
