Israel Has 10 Questions About the Iran Nuclear Deal

The Times of Israel is reporting that Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz has distributed a document listing ten questions that were said to highlight “the extent of the irresponsible concessions given to Iran” and to make it clear just how ineffective this deal will be. After reading the questions I have to wonder just what exactly was it that the U.S. negotiating team led by Secretary of State John Kerry got the Iranians to give up. It appears the Iranians area getting everything they could possible want.

1. Why are sanctions that took years to put in place being removed immediately (as the Iranians claim)? This would take away the international community’s primary leverage at the outset of the agreement and make Iranian compliance less likely.

2. Given Iran’s track record of concealing illicit nuclear activities, why does the framework not explicitly require Iran to accept inspections of all installations where suspected nuclear weapons development has been conducted? […] → Keep reading

Obama Sends Campaign Team to Israel to Defeat Netanyahu

It’s no secret that President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu dislike each other. Obama’s disdain for Netanyahu comes from his inability to control Netanyahu and force him into agreements with the Palestinians which would harm Israel’s security interests. Giving up settlements, land, security measures and restrictions that prevent terrorists from infiltrating Israel are things that Netanyahu has steadfastly refused to do. Obama’s handling of the nuclear situation with Iran also has harmed relations with Netanyahu. I suspect it is only because of secret threats from Obama that Israel hasn’t attacked Iran and destroyed their nuclear program, as so many of Israel’s military leaders have said needs to happen. Obama’s extended ‘negotiations’ with Iran have done nothing but allow them to continue their nuclear program unabated, with everyone knowing their goal is an eventual nuclear weapon. Netanyahu clearly knows the risks, not only to Israel, but to the United States, were Iran to acquire one or more nuclear weapons. […] → Keep reading

Jimmy Carter: Terrorist Supporter

The Toledo Blade is reporting that former President Jimmy Carter will be giving the keynote speech at the 51st annual convention of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) held in Detroit starting today and continuing through the weekend. On Saturday evening at a session called “Generations Rise: Elevating Muslim-American Culture” the outgoing president of ISHA, Imam Mohamed Magid, and four other Muslim speakers will offer ideas for Muslim-American advancement over the next few years. A “secret special guest” is also on the bill but no word yet if it will be Carter.

For a man who claims to be a devout Southern Baptist one would have to wonder why he would be invited and why he would accept the invitation. Perhaps his sympathy for terrorists and terrorist organizations has earned him an invite to speak to the Islamists. I haven’t seen the list of break-out sessions but Carter might want to skip any that are billed as Perfecting Your […] → Keep reading

Israel: Setting the Bar High for Morality in War

Israel’s ambassador to the United States, Ron Dermer, was speaking at the Christians United for Israel Summit in Washington,D.C. last month and spoke in defense of Israeli military operations in Gaza. “Some are shamelessly accusing Israel of genocide and would put us in the dock for war crimes,” he said. “But the truth is that the Israeli Defense Forces should be given the Nobel Peace Prize… a Nobel Peace Prize for fighting with unimaginable restraint.”

He further said that he would “not tolerate criticism of my country at a time when Israeli soldiers are dying so that innocent Palestinians can live.

Israel sends soldiers into Gaza and areas that are booby-trapped with mines in order to capture and destroy rockets and other weapons used by Hamas to attack Israel. They choose to do this instead of launching aerial attacks because to do so would mean the loss of a great number of innocent Palestinian lives. Israel also drops leaflets, makes […] → Keep reading

The Withering Support for Israel

Last week the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church voted 310-303 to sell stock in Caterpillar, Hewlett-Packard and Motorola Solutions in order to divest their investments from corporations they deem to be supportive of the Israeli occupation of the West Bank. The press release from the Presbyterian Church said the three companies in question are alleged to be engaging in “non-peaceful pursuits.” There have been previous attempts at the General Assembly to pass the divestment but the vote always failed until this year. The Presbyterians are now the most prominent religious group in the United States to use divestment as a protest against the Israeli occupation and its policies toward Palestinians. Although their press release attempts to claim otherwise, by divesting from Israel the Presbyterians are symbolically aligning themselves with Hamas. The same Hamas that continually launches rockets into Israel and that just kidnapped and murdered three Israeli youths.

The press release also states that before […] → Keep reading

The Media: Willing Accomplices to Terrorism

The outbreak of hostilities in Gaza recently has brought with it something I’ve seen time and time again when Israel is involved and that is blatant false reporting by the media. There are numerous examples of this just from the current events in Gaza. The cooperation given to Hamas terrorists in fabricating stories in an attempt to make Israel look like an evil aggressor is nothing new, but it does underscore what Israel is up against. Worldwide opinion is already anti-Israel and the lies put forth by the terrorists with the help of their friends in the media just make it worse. But that is their goal, of course.

CNN’s Sara Sidner reports on the death of a four year old boy, calling him “another victim of an [Israeli] airstrike.” The boy was actually killed by a Hamas rocket that fell short in Gaza instead of on it’s target – Israel. The Telegraph in the UK reported the truth of […] → Keep reading

US State Dept Labels Israel A Terrorist Nation

The Obama administration has quietly placed Israel on a list of nations it believes “have shown a tendency to promote, produce, or protect terrorist organizations or their members.”
