20 Lies That Liberals Believe

Over the past few weeks, I have collected a list of lies that liberals have been promulgating thru various outlets. Not all liberals necessarily believe every one of these lies, but I have no doubt that all liberals believe most of them.

Do any conservatives believe some of these lies? Perhaps, and if you do, I’m afraid your membership in the OK Politechs Conservative Club™ is going to have to go up for review.

College basketball players who might possibly believe that homosexuality is a sin should not be allowed to play in the NCAA basketball tournament. Kids in cages at border detention facilities prior to Biden’s inauguration – Evil. Kids in cages at border detention facilities after Biden’s inauguration – Not a story. The President of the United States having to use a picture book at a press conference is not concerning. When cops shoot someone it’s because cops are bad. When anyone else shoots someone it’s because […] → Keep reading

Gun Confiscation an Unrealistic Leftist Fantasy

After the recent mass shootings in Sutherland Springs, Texas, and California, the media, Democrats and the leftist cabal in Hollywood went on their usual rants of demanding something be done. the knee-jerk responses to any shooting came as expected, with all the usual suspects putting out their same-old press releases, tweets, and editorials. All they need do is change the date on them.

It’s hard to take them seriously when gun-grabbers continually demand that “something be done” but never say what the ‘something’ is. They never get specific because they don’t have a clue what to do. It’s always interesting to me that lefties continually blame the availability of guns for mass shootings, but never want to discuss the decay of society that has fostered an environment friendly to those bent on mass murder. They never want to discuss the decay because their leftist ideals and programs are responsible for it.

So they blame the guns and demand “something […] → Keep reading

About That Empty Seat at the State of the Union

The White House has announced that there will be an empty seat next to Michelle Obama this evening at the State of the Union speech, to represent victims of gun violence. A White House official said the seat would be for “victims of gun violence who no longer have a voice – because they need the rest of us to speak for them.”

This isn’t all that surprising, considering the continuing war on guns and the 2nd Amendment that has been waged by this administration. Obama’s unconstitutional executive action on guns last week is just another assault on the right of citizens to be armed. The empty seat at tonight’s speech is a blatant appeal to emotion. Liberals have a history of using emotion, rather than pragmatism, to push their agenda and they’ve had success with that in the past. Pragmatism exposes liberal policies for the failures that they are and will never find a place in the liberal playbook.

Businesses, Gun Rights and Gay Marriage

The beheading of a woman last week in Moore, Oklahoma by a Muslim could have been much, much worse were it not for chief operating officer Mark Vaughan. When Alton Nolen beheaded one woman and began stabbing another, the chief operating officer of the business, Mark Vaughan, retrieved his weapon and shot Nolen to end the attack. Vaughan is also an Oklahoma County reserve sheriff’s deputy. Law enforcement officials have said there is no doubt that Vaughan’s quick action saved the lives of several other employees.

This is a prime example of a violent attack at a business that was ended by someone with a firearm. What if the policy of this business had been that firearms are not allowed on the premises? How many more employees would have been killed before police officers arrived and entered the business to confront Nolen?

Here in Oklahoma we have thousands of people with concealed carry permits. In this day and age […] → Keep reading

Oklahoma Muslim Beheads Woman, Firearm Prevents More Murders

Yesterday afternoon a Muslim convert killed a woman with a knife, beheaded her and attacked another woman with the knife before being shot by an Oklahoma County reserve deputy.

KFOR – MOORE, Okla. – Officials with the Moore Police Department say the FBI is now involved in the investigation related to a brutal attack of workers at a food distribution plant.

Sgt. Jeremy Lewis says the alleged suspect, 30-year-old Alton Nolen had just been fired when he drove to the front of the business, hit a vehicle and walked inside.

He walked into the front office area where he met 54-year-old Colleen Hufford and began attacking her with a knife.

Sgt. Lewis confirms the type of knife used in the attack is the same kind used at the plant.

Lewis confirms that Hufford was stabbed several times and that Nolen “severed her head.”

At that point, Lewis claims Nolen met 43-year-old Traci Johnson and began attacking her with the […] → Keep reading

Detroit Police Chief: People Should Carry Guns

Detroit is considered to be one of the most dangerous cities in the United States, if not the most dangerous. Decades of neglect and Democrat rule have turned the once great city into the largest municipal Chapter 9 bankruptcy in American history and a decaying wasteland with thousands of abandoned homes and buildings. Crime and violence have replaced prosperity to the point where a citizen of Detroit is statistically more likely to be killed than is an American soldier serving in Afghanistan. Although the homicide rate dropped in 2013, Detroit had the same number of murders as New York City, which has 11 times the population of Detroit. The crime problem was definitely not lost on Police Chief James Craig, who took the job just last summer. He has made several changes to the department, including putting more emphasis on crime statistics to identify trouble spots and getting rid of a ‘virtual precinct’ concept that his predecessor started, which closed […] → Keep reading

High School Rewrites 2nd Amendment

Guyer High School in Denton, Texas has been found to be using educational material that rewrites the 2nd Amendment. The administration for the school has essentially rejected inquiries about the revision, saying that the material in question is “supplemental”, a summary statement and that teachers and staff in the school district are aware of this and disseminate the correct information on the 2nd Amendment.

Actual 2nd Amendment – “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

The summary statement – “The people have a right to keep and bear arms in a state militia.”

The school district responded to a request for clarification from Gun Nuts Media and had this to say.

The main history book utilized in the Advanced Placement U.S. History classes for juniors in Denton ISD is titled: American Pageant. This is a history book that has had […] → Keep reading

Chicago Gun Control Targets Restaurants

The Chicago City Council has decided to strengthen their gun control laws by targeting and financially damaging local businesses that don’t ban guns. The Chicago Tribune has the story.

The council adopted a plan to revoke liquor licenses from restaurants that do not ban firearms.

It’s the City Council’s latest attempt to toughen Chicago’s gun laws despite a federally mandated state law passed by the General Assembly allowing concealed handguns to be carried.

Gun rights advocates have promised a lawsuit. Ald. Edward Burke, 14th, said the law firm Jenner & Block has pledged to defend the city in court for free if such a suit is filed.

After the vote, Mayor Rahm Emanuel told reporters that outlawing guns from businesses that serve alcohol is common sense. Society and the nation say “you’re not supposed to drink and drive. You’re clearly not supposed to drink and shoot,” he said.

This is what they do in Chicago instead of doing something about […] → Keep reading

School Shooting: It Will Happen Again

“There is evil in the world. It’s beyond mental illness, beyond gun control. It is evil.” – John R. Coyne, Jr.

I hadn’t intended on getting back to blogging until after the holidays, but I had to post about this. After the shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut last Friday that left twenty six people murdered, twenty of them children, I have seen no end to the people who think the solution to preventing this in the future is either confiscating guns or passing more restrictive gun laws. This is narrow thinking and an emotional knee jerk reaction. Believing such measures would prevent further tragedies is wishful thinking brought on by a desire to believe that future mass murders can be prevented if we would just deny the murderers their weapons. Asking “with what?” instead of “why?” is a much easier question to answer but serves only to give a false sense of security to those […] → Keep reading

Oklahoma Gun Laws – Striving To Be Worst

Last week the Brady Center released their annual scorecard rating states on how strict their gun laws are. Alaska, Arizona and Utah all scored zero points, meaning those states have the least restrictive laws. Oklahoma is one of six states with just two points. California had the ‘best’ score with 81 points. The Brady Center gave Oklahoma two points for not forcing colleges to allow guns on campus.

Senator Steve Russell has proposed several bills to expand gun rights in Oklahoma, including an open carry bill and another to permit concealed weapons on college campuses. The legislature has previously passed an open carry bill, but it was vetoed by then Governor Brad Henry.

I strongly encourage the Oklahoma legislature to make zero points their goal. After that, it is possible to score in the negative by enacting permitless concealed carry as Alaska and Arizona have.

What the Brady’s fail to mention in their scorecard and accompanying press release […] → Keep reading
