Democrats Court Student Loan Debtors

The federal student loan program, started in 1965, allows students to borrow now for college and pay back later when they have a job. Student loan debt has surpassed credit card and auto loan debt for the first time, surging to over $1 trillion.

“With a still-wobbly jobs market, these loans are increasingly hard to pay off. Unable to find work, many students have returned to school, further driving up their indebtedness.

Average student loan debt recently topped $25,000, up 25 percent in 10 years. And the mushrooming debt has direct implications for taxpayers, since 8 in 10 of these loans are government-issued or guaranteed.” The Democrats have come up with a solution to the problem – Forgive the debt. ‘Forgive’ the debt. Chick-fil-A Faces Campus Opposition

Fast food chain Chick-fil-A continues to be attacked by liberals and faces opposition on numerous college campuses for it’s support of organizations labeled by liberals as hate groups. These groups include:

Family Research Council Exodus International Focus On the Family Fellowship of Christian Athletes Marriage & Family Legacy Fund

What makes these groups “hate groups”, the liberals say, is that they are all “anti-gay”.

Chick-fil-A has been blocked from opening a franchise on the campus of Boston’s Northeastern University. A small group of students complained about the organizations to which the company contributed. They followed their objections to allowing the chain on campus by gathering bout 300 signatures – 1.5% of the student body. The Student Government Association then voted 31-5 not to allow Chick-fil-A to become a vendor.
