State Employee Birth Dates To Remain Private

The Oklahoma Supreme Court has ruled that journalists are not entitled to the birth dates of public employees and that to release them “would constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy” under State law.  The court further said, “There simply is no instance in which we can fathom how such information would advance the public’s interest in assuring that the government is properly performing its function.”
