If You Like Your Plan, Too Bad

How many times since Obamacare was first proposed several years ago have we been told by Obama himself that if we like our plan, if we like our doctor that we can keep both?  Going all the way back to July 16, 2009, Obama said, “Let me be exactly clear about what health care reform means to you.  First of all, if you’ve got health insurance, you like your doctors, you like your plan, you can keep your doctor, you can keep your plan.  Nobody is talking about taking that away from you.”

Is anyone the least bit surprised now that Obamacare has passed and we’re finding out what’s in it that people are starting to get notices their health plans are being cancelled because of the Affordable Care Act?  People all over the country are finding out their insurers will require them to select a new plan at a much higher rate than they currently pay.  So much for the ‘affordable’ part of the Act.

As our nation continues heading down the road to socialism, those who did not support Obama are saying ‘told you so’, and many of those who did support him are finding out we were right.  Hey, Obama supporter, you lost your health plan?  You’re just getting what you voted for, so shut up.

I find it hard to believe that so many people continue to support Obama and his policies. It’s as if they see what is happening as the result of his actions, yet they do not believe it is his fault. Somehow, they believe it just has to be the fault of those dastardly Republicans. If and when they wake up to the reality of the situation, they will probably wonder how they came to be in the middle of such a train wreck. And they will have no one to blame but themselves.

    • They won’t blame themselves. They will still blame the Republicans. The Democrats will tell them it’s the Republicans fault. The media will tell them it’s the Republicans fault. And they’ll believe it because they want it to be the Republicans fault.

And that mindset is exactly what we are facing in the battle to defund Obamacare. As much as I want to see Ted Cruz and the rest of the Republicans stand their ground on this, there is a high probability that they will receive 100% of the blame for what happens. It doesn’t really matter what the truth is. Between the media, the Democrats, and the mindset of the average American voter, we may be out of luck.

  • and the libs still follow Hussein like the lemmings they are..sigh..Keep up the good fight:)

  • And thousands of us were never told if you like your job in healthcare you have an excellent chance of losing it. I know of thousands. A little reported story.
