Gun Confiscation an Unrealistic Leftist Fantasy

After the recent mass shootings in Sutherland Springs, Texas and California, the media, Democrats and the leftist cabal in Hollywood went on their usual rants of demanding something be done. The knee-jerk responses to any shooting came as expected, with all the usual suspects putting out their same-old press releases, tweets and editorials. All they need do is change the date on them.

It’s hard to take them seriously when gun-grabbers continually demand that “something be done” but never do say that the ‘something’ is. They never get specific because they don’t have a clue what to do. It’s always interesting to me that lefties continually blame the availability of guns for mass shootings but never want to discuss the decay of society that has fostered an environment friendly to those bent on mass murder. They never want to discuss the decay because their leftist ideals and programs are responsible for it.

So they blame the guns and demand “something be done.” More gun laws? The ones we have aren’t working so why would more gun laws do anything? Some […] → Keep reading

Democrats Admit the Truth – They Want Your Guns

Liberals have always maintained the position that they don’t want to confiscate everyone’s guns, but everyone knows that’s their eventual goal. Whenever someone says they don’t want your guns, just silently add the word “yet” to the end of what they say and that will be the truth. And now some Democrats in Georgia have finally admitted the truth. They want your guns.

Democrats in the Georgia state legislature introduced a bill banning “certain assault weapons, large capacity magazines, armor-piercing bullets, and incendiary .50 caliber bullets.” Language in the bill also requires confiscation by the state.

Breitbart – The bill–HB 731–is sponsored by Mary Margaret Oliver (D-83rd), Stacey Abrams (D-89th), Carolyn Hugley (D-136th), Pat Gardiner (D-57th), Dar’shun Kendrick (D-93rd), Dee Dawkins-Haigler (D-91st).

According to the text of HB 731, the bill focuses on ” dangerous instrumentalities and practices” by prohibiting the “possession, sale, transport, distribution, or use of certain assault weapons, large capacity magazines, armor-piercing bullets, and incendiary .50 caliber bullets.” Moreover, the details punishment for crimes involving “the possession, sale, transport, distribution, or use of certain assault weapons, large […] → Keep reading

About That Empty Seat at the State of the Union

The White House has announced that there will be an empty seat next to Michelle Obama this evening at the State of the Union speech, to represent victims of gun violence. A White House official said the seat would be for “victims of gun violence who no longer have a voice – because they need the rest of us to speak for them.”

This isn’t all that surprising, considering the continuing war on guns and the 2nd Amendment that has been waged by this administration. Obama’s unconstitutional executive action on guns last week is just another assault on the right of citizens to be armed. The empty seat at tonight’s speech is a blatant appeal to emotion. Liberals have a history of using emotion, rather than pragmatism, to push their agenda and they’ve had success with that in the past. Pragmatism exposes liberal policies for the failures that they are and will never find a place in the liberal playbook.

If Obama truly wants to have an empty seat represent victims who no longer have a voice, there are a […] → Keep reading

Businesses, Gun Rights and Gay Marriage

The beheading of a woman last week in Moore, Oklahoma by a Muslim could have been much, much worse were it not for chief operating officer Mark Vaughan. When Alton Nolen beheaded one woman and began stabbing another, the chief operating officer of the business, Mark Vaughan, retrieved his weapon and shot Nolen to end the attack. Vaughan is also an Oklahoma County reserve sheriff’s deputy. Law enforcement officials have said there is no doubt that Vaughan’s quick action saved the lives of several other employees.

This is a prime example of a violent attack at a business that was ended by someone with a firearm. What if the policy of this business had been that firearms are not allowed on the premises? How many more employees would have been killed before police officers arrived and entered the business to confront Nolen?

Here in Oklahoma we have thousands of people with concealed carry permits. In this day and age it just seems prudent to be armed and ready to defend yourself if necessary. Like the employees at Vaughan Foods, […] → Keep reading

Oklahoma Muslim Beheads Woman, Firearm Prevents More Murders

Yesterday afternoon a Muslim convert killed a woman with a knife, beheaded her and attacked another woman with the knife before being shot by an Oklahoma County reserve deputy.

KFOR – MOORE, Okla. – Officials with the Moore Police Department say the FBI is now involved in the investigation related to a brutal attack of workers at a food distribution plant.

Sgt. Jeremy Lewis says the alleged suspect, 30-year-old Alton Nolen had just been fired when he drove to the front of the business, hit a vehicle and walked inside.

He walked into the front office area where he met 54-year-old Colleen Hufford and began attacking her with a knife.

Sgt. Lewis confirms the type of knife used in the attack is the same kind used at the plant.

Lewis confirms that Hufford was stabbed several times and that Nolen “severed her head.”

At that point, Lewis claims Nolen met 43-year-old Traci Johnson and began attacking her with the same knife.

Officials say at that point, Mark Vaughan, an Oklahoma County reserve deputy and a former CEO of the […] → Keep reading

Detroit Police Chief: People Should Carry Guns

Detroit is considered to be one of the most dangerous cities in the United States, if not the most dangerous. Decades of neglect and Democrat rule have turned the once great city into the largest municipal Chapter 9 bankruptcy in American history and a decaying wasteland with thousands of abandoned homes and buildings. Crime and violence have replaced prosperity to the point where a citizen of Detroit is statistically more likely to be killed than is an American soldier serving in Afghanistan. Although the homicide rate dropped in 2013, Detroit had the same number of murders as New York City, which has 11 times the population of Detroit. The crime problem was definitely not lost on Police Chief James Craig, who took the job just last summer. He has made several changes to the department, including putting more emphasis on crime statistics to identify trouble spots and getting rid of a ‘virtual precinct’ concept that his predecessor started, which closed some neighborhood police stations at night. He is also being vocal about his recently changed position on armed citizens.
